Class Information
Below are the programs that the Academy is providing. Please ask us questions and talk to us if you do not understand the programs or where you or your fencer should be. Academy coaches are always glad to help you figure out where you need to be, answer questions for future competitors, and assist with purchasing your own equipment.
First Fencers:
This program is a program for first time fencers 9 and under. The program allows these young fencers to have fun and learn fencing. It is highly repetitive for this age group. After they reach ten your coach will evaluate with you whether the student is ready to move up to the primary programs. This program is not always in session so please see the class list to see if it is in session.

Cost: $50 per session
Beginner I and Beginner II:
These programs are designed to introduce fencing to the student. The programs vary slightly throughout the year but are always in four week cycles.

Cost: $60 per session
Recreational Fencing Program / Academy Membership:
This program is designed for fencers that just want to come have fun and fence. If the fencer just wants to recreationally fence, experiment to see if he/she likes it, or if schedules prevent more intense programs then this is the program for you or your fencer.
This program applies only to designated open fencing sessions at the Academy. Currently that time is 12pm – 2:00 pm on Saturdays, and 7:30-9:30 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Equipment: Purchase or your own or through the Academy, however equipment can be provided temporarily while waiting on orders.
Organized Footwork: no ( On Saturdays session we offer organized worm up exercises and footwork drills. This is not mandatory.)
Organized Drills: no
Free Fencing: yes

Competitive Training Programs:
The intermediate program is designed for fencers who would like to continue fencing and to ompete. This program is also good for fencers who want the continued work and training whether interested in competing or not. This program focuses strictly on the weapon of your choice.
Monthly package includes:
- Tuesday evening training focused on conditioning prior to open fencing
- Thursday evening training focused on technical skills, footwork and bladework prior to open fencing
- Saturday afternoon open fencing with all groups

Important information:
- Before deciding on a program, please consult with your coach first.
- Fencer must bring his/her own fencing equipment.
- Monthly fees are due at the beginning of each month. Dues must be paid in full; no pro - rated refunds for missed sessions will be issued. Academy will not offer any make up session for missed classes.
- Multiple session classes are provided for the fencer however the fencer may choose to participate in fewer than the offered number. The rate remains the same
